2001, 15.3hh, Irish Sport Horse
(Deceased 2022)
Icarus Frosty was bred in Australia at Icarus Park Stud by frozen semen. He is an Irish Sport Horse, fully registered and DNA
typed with the Irish Draught and Sport Horse Society of Australia. His sire is Crosstown Dancer RID, who stands in Ireland,
and Frosty the only stallion in Australia representing this sought after bloodline. Crosstown Dancer was five time champion Irish Draught stallion at the Royal Dublin Show. Frosty’s great grandsire, King of Diamonds was a prolific producer of international showjumpers, and currently many talented Irish Sport Horses all over the world have King of Diamonds blood in their pedigrees. Frosty’s dam was a very competitive thoroughbred event mare in her day with her bloodlines going back to the great
Century.
For a smallish horse, his movement is that of a big horse, with expressive flowing paces, and true sport horse athleticism.
He has an outstanding easy going temperament, and correct conformation. Frosty has been a breeding stallion at Icarus Park since 2005 and a ridden competition horse for almost as long. He began showing, dressage and eventing as a five year old, and currently he is competing with professional rider Yona Lloyd in 1* Eventing with success.
Frosty has won In hand Show Champions, Ridden Show Championships, Working Hunter Classes, TTT Eventing, and Dressage
competitions.
Sadly, Frosty was lost to complications post surgery for colic in August 2022.
